[Printing Example] Glass Ball: 180° Printing Challenge for Spheres

In standard pad printing, the decorative range is up to 120°! We are continuing to make improvements!

Here is an example of printing on a glass ball (diameter 40mm). This time, we challenged ourselves to print on 180°. Since decoration is not possible with conventional methods, we adjusted the materials accordingly. As a result, we were able to print up to about 160°. Materials that are hard and glossy like glass tend to have poor adhesion, so it seems that we will continue to face challenges in achieving clean prints. We are currently continuing improvements, so please stay tuned. 【Case Overview】 ■Printed Item: Glass Ball (Diameter 40mm) ■Content: Challenge to 180° ■Result: Able to print up to about 160° *For more details, please refer to the related link page or feel free to contact us.

I want to print on glass.

The key is the adhesion of the ink! We will introduce the challenges of glass printing.

I will explain the challenges of glass printing. When printing on glass, the key point is the adhesion of the ink. To achieve strong ink adhesion, methods such as pre-treatment before printing and curing the ink at high temperatures after printing can be employed. There are various methods for printing on glass, and it is necessary to determine the printing method based on factors such as the material and shape of the item to be printed, the desired design, and the printing lot. Our company has a test printing machine and can conduct various printing tests. Additionally, we can introduce suitable printing vendors for your projects. [To achieve strong ink adhesion] - Perform pre-treatments such as plasma treatment, corona discharge treatment, or Ito treatment before printing. - Use two-component inks (inks that require mixing with a hardener). - Cure the ink at high temperatures after printing (the ink melts at a lower temperature than glass and adheres to it). *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Printing Example] Printing on Eggshells

Transfer ink from the plate using a soft silicone pad! It's possible because it's pad printing!

Instead of printing on boiled eggs, which are typically associated with Easter eggs, we will introduce a case where printing was done on more challenging raw eggs. The printing method used was pad printing. It became possible because pad printing transfers ink from the plate using a soft silicone pad. Since eggs can crack under strong impact, we established conditions to minimize pressure while ensuring a clean print, allowing us to print beautifully without any cracks or breaks. [Case Overview] ■ Printed Item: Raw egg shell ■ Details: Pad printing - Conditions were established to minimize pressure while achieving a clean print. *The ink used is not edible ink. *For more details, please refer to the related link page or feel free to contact us.

Art Corporation Business Introduction

Leave the design and plate making (production of printing plates) of cardboard to printing to us!

Since our establishment in 1970, Art Co., Ltd. has consistently strived to fulfill our wish of delivering "good products at reasonable prices" to our customers. The recent market is overflowing with abundance, and it seems that material culture has nearly reached its peak. However, on the other hand, the development of a highly information-oriented society is remarkable, and high-tech technologies and new media have significantly changed our lives and workplaces, compelling us to reconsider diversification and shift our thinking. In line with such an era, we have changed our company name to "Art Co., Ltd." and united as a team to aim for a company that can "contribute with technology and sincerity" to our customers. We have also studied various fields related to the main elements of printing. At times, we have been grateful to serve as instructors at cardboard factory study sessions, but we believe that now is the time to think about quality and environmental issues in unity with our users. We hope to continue raising questions and sharpening our spirit of challenge. For more details, please contact us or download our catalog.
